Why 'The Thinkers'?
With 48% of post-graduates who do not feel their education was worth the financial commitment, 31 million people between the ages of 44 to 70 looking for an “encore career”, 70% of employees unhappy with their work, it is no secret we need to start paving a new path for our current and future generations.
Imagination. Creativity. Audacity. Courage. This is what we think of when we imagine the greatest thinkers that have come before us and that will continue to come after us. We often talk about modern day hereos and entrepreneurs - Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, and the list goes on. What about the others? The ‘thinkers’ who came long before us, those who laid the foundation for so much of what we respect and value today were so radical despite the consequences. They were executed or ostracized by society in their time. Think Jesus Christ who was crucified for his teachings or Socrates, for example, who was poisoned for speaking out against society during that time.
Many of the greatest influencers who live today and have lived before us embody similar values and characteristics. They have a burning curiosity, hunger for inner growth, and the ability to think outside of the box. They embody courage and believe in radical change. They work for themselves to honor their highest truth and purpose, but they also work for the upliftment and progress of humanity.
"We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."
- AMERICAN INDIAN PROVERB
What is called of us today as humans and as the next generation of leaders is not merely more “solutions”. It is radical transformation in the way we think, behave, and live our lives. It is the modern thinkers who will lead our communities, nations, and globe towards a revolution of the human spirit.
Our next generation of leaders do not lead solely with the mind. They lead with humanity’s greatest asset, the heart, to slowly create ripples and transform the very systems we participate in each day.
The Thinkers is not just a program. It is the way we speak, think, and behave in our day to day lives. The Thinkers are our next generation of revolutionaries who see our world’s beauty, but also know and believe in a greater, more beautiful world than the one we see today.
